Special "Extended COVID-19" Leave

The District understands that there are some employees who feel that the only way to ensure the safety of themselves and their families during this pandemic is to not return to work for the 2020-21 school year. In consideration of these situations, the District is offering a special “Extended COVID-19” Leave of Absence under the terms of PEA Article 9-8 and Board Policy GCC, that may be approved for one school work year without salary or fringe benefits.

Special Leave needs to be requested and is a possible option and not guaranteed.
